BYU's Daily Herald published this story today about an emu that got loose on the highway. The only way to stop the emu was to use a stun gun and then, as natural logical would have it (when capturing a BIRD), handcuff it.

Oh of course! Handcuffs! Silly me, I would have put a lease around its neck and in hopes to lead it away or perhaps even a net. Tis not so. Everyone knows to capture a hand-less creature you use handcuffs. Where did they handcuff it? Around the legs? See here, those things are dang big animals.

I mean, I'm not sure if you've seen them at the zoo or anything but they've usually got a big 'ol field all to themselves. It's not like it's a canary or anything. And then what are you going to do when the bird is laying there lifeless from being stunned, handcuffed at the legs, and with no arms? Haul the thing away and hope to heck it doesn't start flapping its wings at the same time?....
