Classy, Wilson
Politicians may sometimes be numbered among the same ranks as used car salesmen and lawyers, but people are generally respectful to the face of President of the United States, right? Not so for Joe Wilson- R, S.C. During Obama's address to Congress and the nation on Thursday night, Wilson reacted to Obama's health care proposals with a loud outburst of, "You lie!!" America is all for the freedom of speech, but show some class. I'm not saying I'm Obama's biggest fan (mostly I really don't agree with anything he says) but you should at least be respectful and listen to him, right? All Wilson needed to do was throw a shoe at him to make it complete.

And I think it is times like this, when we just make declarations like "you lie" and "he is a socialist", that we take our freedom of speech for granted. I mean, we could say almost anything and explain to people why we believe what we believe, yet we do not. Meanwhile, we look like total idiots and give people who would like to restrict our freedom of speech more reason to do so.
